The Spotlight Circle of Friends (SCOF) is a dedicated group of adults and students who support the Florida Children’s Theatre (FLCT) through volunteerism, advocacy, and fundraising efforts. This vibrant community of parents, alumni, and friends meets monthly to plan and execute initiatives that directly benefit FLCT’s mission.
SCOF members play a vital role in fundraising by organizing collections, campaigns, and individual events, as well as supporting major FLCT events like the annual gala through auction item donations and sponsorships. Additionally, members can leverage matching gift programs from employers and reach out to their networks for donations.
Adults contribute by volunteering for various theatre functions, such as ushering, concessions, event set-up, and VIP guest support.
Advocacy efforts include letter-writing campaigns, social media promotion, and public speaking engagements to raise awareness of FLCT’s impact on the community. With the commitment of both adult and student members, the Spotlight Circle of Friends ensures that FLCT continues to provide life-changing theatrical experiences for young people in South Florida.
